ACTEL ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

Actel semiconductor corporation designed and developed field-programmable gate arrays and associated development system software. Rooted in the tech sector, they produced semiconductors for various applications in communications, auto, medical, and industrial markets - especially the aerospace and military markets. With worldwide distribution and sales, you've come to the right place if you are looking for end-of-life technology. Founded in 1985, it became widely successful for its contribution to the aerospace and military markets. Actel's nonvolatile, low-power field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), mixed-signal FPGAs, and programmable logic solutions helped pave the way for other FPGA and semiconductor manufacturers. They expanded their market with the acquisition of GateField, which expanded their semiconductor production to make anti-fuse FPGAs that include flash-based FPGAs. Having shipped over one million units of its flash-based ProASICPLUS FPGA, Actel was later acquired by Microsemi. While Actel semiconductors rank amongst some of the top obsolete electronic parts, you can still find a wide variety of them today because Actel and Microsemi are credited with setting the world's standard for time. The parts include but are not limited to FPGAs, SoCs, and ASICs. Check out our electronic components inventory for power management products or precise time solutions.
