CABLES AND WIRE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

Cables and wires are used in the semiconductor industry to provide even distribution of an electrical field. They consist of an assembly of one or more wires to transmit electrical power & signals to devices. When it comes to cables and wires, copper is often the material of choice because it is an excellent conductor. Plastics are then used to isolate individual conductors. Cables are used in a plethora of applications ranging from power transmission and distribution to RF signal transmission in cable TV. A semiconductor layer in cables and wires can help even out the voltage stress to extend the life of the cable and keep the energy from damaging the insulation of said cable or wire.
