PASSIVE COMPONENTS ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

Passive components are capable of affecting the flow of an electrical current, but don't generate, amplify or control it. Passive components include a chassis, inductor, resistor, transformer or capacitor. Passive components, instead of providing energy, can dissipate, store or release it. Models that are not passive are called active components. Resistors, capacitors, inductors and transformers are the main passive components used in electronics. A circuit that contains only passive components is called a passive circuit. Additionally, two-port parameters are passive components with two terminals.
