The Xinluda XL33290 is an ISO K-Line serial link interface IC in an SOP-8 package, designed for ISO9141 automotive diagnostic communication and offered as a functional equivalent to the legacy MC33290.

The XL33290 from Xinluda is an ISO K-Line serial link interface IC built for bi-directional, half-duplex communication on the automotive diagnostic K line. It bridges a vehicle’s on-board microcontroller and off-board diagnostic equipment in accordance with the Diagnostic Systems ISO9141 specification, making it a popular drop-in functional equivalent to the legacy NXP/Freescale MC33290 in an economical SOP-8 surface-mount package.

The device translates between 5.0 V microcontroller logic levels and battery-level logic on the single-wire K line, and includes a chip-enable (CEN) pin that places the part into a low-power sleep state when held low. The K-line bus driver output is protected against bus shorts and over-temperature conditions, and the part is parametrically specified over a wide 8.0 V to 18 V battery (VBB) supply range and an automotive ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
