The XL33035 from Xinluda is a high-performance second-generation monolithic brushless DC (BLDC) motor controller that integrates all of the active functions needed to implement a full-featured open-loop, three- or four-phase motor control system on a single chip. It is widely used as a functional equivalent to classic 33035-series controllers, making it a practical choice for both new designs and legacy maintenance.
The device combines a rotor position decoder for correct commutation sequencing with a temperature-compensated 6.25 V reference capable of supplying sensor power, a frequency-programmable sawtooth oscillator, three open-collector top drivers, and three high-current totem-pole bottom drivers ideally suited to driving external power MOSFETs. It supports electrical sensor phasings of 60°/300° or 120°/240° and can also efficiently control brush DC motors.
