The Xinluda XH2596-3.3 is a monolithic integrated circuit that provides all of the active functions required for a step-down (buck) switching regulator. It delivers a fixed 3.3V output and is capable of driving a 3A load with excellent line and load regulation. Operating from a wide 4.5V to 40V input range with a 150kHz fixed-frequency internal oscillator, the XH2596-3.3 minimizes external component count and allows the use of smaller filter components than lower-frequency regulators. The device is a pin-compatible alternative within the popular 2596 step-down regulator family and is supplied here in the surface-mount TO-263-5 package.
