The XD74LS93 from Xinluda (XINLUDA) is a 4-bit binary ripple counter belonging to the popular 74LS93 / 7493 LS-TTL logic family. Internally it consists of four master-slave flip-flops arranged as a divide-by-two section and a separate divide-by-eight section, each with its own clock input. By externally connecting the Q0 output of the divide-by-two section to the divide-by-eight clock input, the device functions as a single 4-bit binary (divide-by-16) ripple counter, with simultaneous frequency divisions of 2, 4, 8 and 16 available at outputs Q0 through Q3.
State changes are initiated on the high-to-low (falling) transition of the clock inputs. A gated AND asynchronous master reset (MR1, MR2) overrides both clocks and resets all flip-flops to zero, making the part well suited to general-purpose frequency-division and counting tasks.
