The XD74LS193 from Xinluda is a synchronous 4-bit up/down binary counter built on the proven 74LS TTL architecture. It features dual clock inputs (one for count-up, one for count-down) and a completely independent clear input, making it a versatile building block for programmable timing, frequency division, and event-counting circuits. The XD74LS193 is functionally equivalent to the industry-standard SN74LS193 and DM74LS193 devices.

All four master-slave flip-flops are clocked synchronously so that the outputs change together, eliminating the output spikes commonly associated with asynchronous (ripple) counters. The counter is fully programmable: each output can be preset to any state by entering data at the parallel load inputs.
