The XD74LS154 from Xinluda is a 4-line to 16-line decoder/demultiplexer built on low-power Schottky TTL (74LS) circuitry. It decodes four binary-coded inputs into one of sixteen mutually exclusive active-LOW outputs when both strobe inputs (G1 and G2) are LOW. When either strobe input is HIGH, all sixteen outputs are HIGH, allowing the device to also operate as a 1-of-16 demultiplexer by routing data applied to one strobe input to the addressed output line. All inputs are buffered, and input clamping diodes minimize transmission-line ringing to simplify system design.
