The Xinluda XD551 is a monolithic CMOS precision timer integrated circuit, the through-hole member of Xinluda’s XD551/XL551 timing family. Pin-compatible with the industry-standard 555 timer, the XD551 is fully compatible with CMOS, TTL, and MOS logic and operates at frequencies up to 2MHz. Its high input impedance allows the use of smaller timing capacitors, enabling more accurate time delays and oscillations while keeping power consumption low across the full supply range. The XD551 is supplied in a through-hole DIP-8 package; the functionally equivalent SOP-8 surface-mount version is offered as the XL551.
Like the classic 555, the XD551 features a trigger level at approximately one-third of the supply voltage and a threshold level at approximately two-thirds of the supply voltage, both adjustable through the control voltage (CONT) terminal. The device supports monostable (one-shot) and astable (oscillator) operation, with an active-low RESET input that overrides all other inputs to initiate a new timing cycle and an open-collector discharge (DISCH) output for the external timing capacitor.
The XD551 is a hard-to-find part with little to no authorized-distributor availability, and Xinluda components are not stocked by the major franchise distributors. Pacific Component Xchange is an independent distributor specializing in sourcing scarce, allocated, and obsolete power-management ICs, timers, and optocouplers. Our global supply network and rigorous incoming-inspection and authenticity-verification processes help engineers and buyers secure genuine parts when standard channels come up empty. We support worldwide shipping and flexible quantities for both prototype and production needs. Request a quote (RFQ) for the XD551 today and our sourcing team will respond quickly with availability, lead time, and pricing.
The XD551 is a low-power CMOS monolithic precision timer integrated circuit from Xinluda. It is a single-timer device in the 555-type family, supplied in a DIP-8 package, operating from 2V to 15V at frequencies up to 2MHz.
Yes. The XD551 follows the classic 555 timer architecture and pinout, with a trigger level at approximately one-third of VDD and a threshold level at approximately two-thirds of VDD, adjustable via the control (CONT) pin. It is fully compatible with CMOS, TTL, and MOS logic.
The two parts are functionally identical timers. The XD551 is offered in a through-hole DIP-8 package, while the XL551 is the SOP-8 surface-mount version.
The XD551 has high output-current capability, able to sink up to 100mA (max) and source approximately 10mA (typical), with the output fully compatible with CMOS, TTL, and MOS levels.
The XD551 features very low power consumption, drawing about 170uA (typical) at VDD = 5V, with low power dissipation maintained across its full 2V to 15V supply range.
The XD551 is a hard-to-find Xinluda part with little to no authorized-distributor availability. Pacific Component Xchange sources it through our independent global network, so pricing and lead time are provided per request. Submit an RFQ and our team will respond promptly with availability and a quote.
