The Xinluda XD4051 is a CMOS 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer belonging to the industry-standard 4051 family. It steers a single common line to any one of eight independent analog channels, with channel selection controlled by three binary address inputs (A, B, C) and a single inhibit (INH) input. Driving INH high turns all channels off, placing the device in a high-impedance state. Because the analog path is bilateral, the XD4051 works equally well as a multiplexer or a demultiplexer.

The device features a built-in binary address decoder with break-before-make switching, so that low-voltage digital control logic can switch a much wider analog signal swing, making it well suited to mixed-signal designs where logic supplies and analog rails differ. It is offered in a through-hole DIP-16 package.
