XD386-1 – Audio Power Amplifier – Xinluda
The Xinluda XD386-1 is a low-voltage audio power amplifier in a DIP-8 package, part of Xinluda’s 386 family (XL386 SOP-8 / XD386-1 DIP-8 / XL386-MS MSOP-8) with the classic 386/LM386-compatible pinout. Available now for RFQ from Pacific Component Xchange.
The Xinluda XD386-1 is a low-voltage, low-power audio power amplifier supplied in an 8-pin DIP (PDIP-8) package. It is the through-hole DIP-8 member of Xinluda’s “386” amplifier family, which the manufacturer’s datasheet documents together as XL386 (SOP-8), XD386-1 (DIP-8), and XL386-MS (MSOP-8). The device uses the same pin configuration as the industry-standard 386/LM386 amplifier, so it can be used in classic 386-based, battery-powered consumer audio circuits with minimal external part count.
The amplifier has an internally fixed voltage gain of 20, which can be increased up to 200 by adding a single resistor and capacitor between the gain pins (pins 1 and 8). Its inputs are ground-referenced and the output automatically self-centers to one-half the supply voltage, simplifying single-supply audio circuit design.
Key Features
- Low-voltage audio power amplifier (386-family architecture)
- Same pin configuration as the classic 386/LM386 amplifier

- Low quiescent current drain: 4 mA typ. (8 mA max) at VS = 6 V
- Low total harmonic distortion: 0.2% (AV = 20, VS = 6 V, RL = 8 Ω, PO = 125 mW, f = 1 kHz)
- Output power: 325 mW typ. (VS = 6 V, RL = 8 Ω, THD = 10%)
- Ground-referenced input
- Self-centering output quiescent voltage (biases to VS/2)
- Minimum external parts count
- 8-pin DIP (PDIP-8) through-hole package
Note: electrical parameters above are taken from the Xinluda XL386/XD386-1 datasheet. Confirm final test limits against the manufacturer’s current device documentation for your application.
