The Winbond W25Q16JVSSAQ is a 16M-bit (2M-byte, 2,097,152 bytes) 3V serial NOR flash memory from Winbond’s high-performance 25Q SpiFlash family. It delivers a compact, low-power code- and data-storage solution for systems with limited space, pins and power, and is well suited to code shadowing to RAM and execute-in-place (XIP) operation directly from Quad SPI. The “AQ” suffix identifies the Automotive Grade 2 version, qualified to AEC-Q100 over the extended -40°C to +105°C temperature range.
The device supports standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) plus high-performance Dual/Quad I/O SPI, Quad Peripheral Interface (QPI) and Double Transfer Rate (DTR) read. SPI clock frequencies up to 133MHz are supported, giving equivalent transfer rates of 266MHz for Dual I/O and 532MHz for Quad I/O when using the Fast Read Dual/Quad I/O instructions.
