The Toshiba TLP350(D4,F) is a gate drive photocoupler designed to drive IGBTs and power MOSFETs in power-conversion applications. It integrates a GaAlAs infrared LED optically coupled to an integrated photo-IC detector with a totem-pole (push-pull) output stage, housed in an 8-pin DIP package. The (D4) option denotes Toshiba’s VDE-approved version per DIN EN60747-5-2, and the (F) suffix is Toshiba’s packing/lead-finish designation; the electrical specifications are the same as the base TLP350.
The device provides a peak output current rated up to +/-2.5A (absolute maximum; the datasheet’s recommended operating peak output current is +/-2.0A) and operates over a 15V to 30V supply range, driving the gates of medium- and high-power switching devices while maintaining galvanic isolation between the control side and the high-voltage power stage.
The TLP350 is increasingly difficult to secure through standard channels as it approaches end of life. Pacific Component Xchange specializes in sourcing hard-to-find, obsolete, and end-of-life power-management ICs and optocouplers like the TLP350(D4,F) to keep your production lines and field-repair programs running.
Every order is backed by our commitment to authenticity, inspection, and traceability, with global shipping to support your manufacturing and MRO needs wherever you operate. If you have an open requirement for the TLP350(D4,F) or compatible variants, request a quote (RFQ) from Pacific Component Xchange today and our sourcing team will respond with current availability, lead time, and pricing.
It is a Toshiba gate drive photocoupler for driving IGBTs and power MOSFETs. It combines a GaAlAs infrared LED with an integrated photo-IC totem-pole output stage in an 8-pin DIP package, providing peak output current up to +/-2.5A (max rating, +/-2.0A recommended operating) and 3750Vrms isolation. The (D4,F) suffix designates the VDE-approved version and packing code of the base TLP350.
In Toshiba's part numbering, (D4) is the Option D4 designation indicating VDE approval per DIN EN60747-5-2, and (F) is a packing/lead-finish code. The electrical specifications are identical to the base TLP350. The correct orderable code is TLP350(D4,F); some sources may show it garbled (for example TLP350(D4.F)).
The TLP350 provides 3750Vrms isolation (AC 1-minute test) between input and output, and a peak output current rated up to +/-2.5A (absolute maximum; +/-2.0A is the datasheet recommended operating value), suitable for driving IGBT and power MOSFET gates.
The TLP350 is treated as Not Recommended for New Designs (NRND) and is increasingly hard to source through standard channels. It remains widely used in existing equipment and for repairs. Pacific Component Xchange sources this part for production continuity and MRO needs.
Toshiba offers newer gate-drive photocouplers such as the TLP5752 (+/-2.5A IGBT/MOSFET driver) and TLP5701, though they differ in package (SO6L) and switching performance. Verify pin-out, isolation, and timing against your design before substituting. Pacific Component Xchange can quote the original TLP350 as well as alternatives.
Because this is a hard-to-find NRND part, it is offered on a request-for-quote (RFQ) basis. Submit an RFQ to Pacific Component Xchange and our team will respond with current stock, lead time, and pricing.
