The Xinluda XD3914 is a monolithic integrated circuit that senses analog voltage levels and drives 10 LEDs to provide a linear analog display. A single pin switches the display between a moving-dot mode and a bar-graph mode, making it a flexible, drop-in LM3914-type level-meter driver. Because the drive current to each LED is regulated and individually programmable, the design eliminates per-LED ballast resistors and allows the entire system to operate from a supply of less than 3V.
The device contains its own adjustable reference and an accurate 10-step voltage divider. A low-bias-current input buffer accepts signals down to ground (V-) and withstands inputs up to plus or minus 30V without damage or false outputs. The buffer drives 10 individual comparators referenced to the precision divider, holding indication non-linearity to typically half a percent even over a wide temperature range. Multiple XD3914 devices can be chained to build displays of 20 to over 100 segments.
The XD3914 is a niche LM3914-class display driver with limited authorized-distributor coverage, which can make production-volume sourcing difficult. Pacific Component Xchange specializes in hard-to-find and end-of-life power-management ICs, display drivers, and optocouplers. We help engineers and buyers secure the XD3914 when standard channels come up short. Every device is sourced for authenticity and traceability, with global shipping available to keep your build on schedule. This is a Request-For-Quote part – contact Pacific Component Xchange for current availability, lead time, and pricing on the Xinluda XD3914.
The XD3914 is a monolithic LED dot/bar display driver IC that senses an analog voltage and drives 10 LEDs in a linear analog display. It is an LM3914-type level-meter driver supplied in a DIP-18 package.
The XD3914 is an LM3914-class dot/bar display driver with the same core function: 10 LEDs, user-selectable bar or dot mode, an internal reference and 10-step divider, and programmable current-regulated outputs. Always verify pinout and electrical limits against the datasheet for your specific design before substituting.
It operates from a single supply of 3V to 20V DC (and can function below 3V), with LED output current programmable from 2 mA to 30 mA. The current-regulated outputs eliminate the need for individual LED ballast resistors.
Mode is selected on pin 9. Bar mode results when pin 9 is within about 20 mV of V+; dot mode results when pin 9 is pulled at least 200 mV below V+ or left open. Wiring pin 9 to V+ gives a bar-graph display.
Yes. Multiple XD3914s can be chained to form displays of 20 to over 100 segments, and the floating 10-step divider allows expanded-scale and zero-center meter configurations.
