XL567 – Tone Decoder / PLL IC – Xinluda

The Xinluda XL567 is a general-purpose phase-locked-loop (PLL) tone decoder in an 8-pin SOP package, providing a saturated transistor switch to ground when an in-band input signal is detected. It is the SOP-8 counterpart of the DIP-8 XD567 and uses the industry-standard 567 tone-decoder pinout and architecture.

The Xinluda XL567 is a general-purpose phase-locked-loop (PLL) tone decoder supplied in an 8-pin SOP (SOIC) package. It is designed to provide a saturated transistor switch to ground whenever an input signal is present within the device’s passband. Internally the circuit consists of an I and Q detector pair driven by a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that sets the center frequency of the decoder, with external components used to independently set the center frequency, bandwidth, and output delay. The XL567 is the SOP-8 member of the Xinluda 567 family (the DIP-8 variant is the XD567) and follows the industry-standard 567 tone-decoder pinout and architecture.

Key Features

  • Phase-locked-loop tone decoder with I/Q detectors and on-chip VCO
  • Center frequency adjustable from 0.01 Hz to 500 kHz (20:1 range with an external resistor)
  • Highest center frequency rated to 500 kHz
  • Logic-compatible output with 100 mA current-sinking capability
  • Detection bandwidth adjustable from 0% to 14% of the center frequency (typ. 14%, up to 16% max)
  • High rejection of out-of-band signals and noise; immunity to false signals
  • Highly stable center frequency (typ. 35 ±60 ppm/°C, 0°C to 70°C)
  • Recommended supply voltage 3.5 V to 8.5 V (VCC)
  • Output saturation voltage typ. 0.6 V at I8 = 100 mA
  • 8-pin SOP-8 / SOIC package (pinout: 1 OF_CAP, 2 LF_CAP, 3 IN, 4 VCC, 5 T_RES, 6 T_CAP, 7 GND, 8 OUT)

Applications

  • Touch-tone (DTMF) / key tone decoding
  • Precision oscillator
  • Frequency monitoring and control
  • Wideband FSK demodulation
  • Ultrasonic controls
  • Carrier-current remote controls
  • Communication paging decoders

Why Source XL567 from Pacific Component Xchange

The XL567 is a Xinluda-branded tone decoder with limited authorized-distributor coverage, which can make it difficult to procure reliably for production runs and legacy designs. Pacific Component Xchange is an independent distributor specializing in hard-to-find and obsolete power-management ICs, signal-chain parts, and optocouplers. We help engineers and buyers secure scarce parts like the XL567 with a focus on authenticity, traceability, and global shipping.

Because the XL567 is offered on a Request-for-Quote basis, our sourcing team can confirm current availability, lead time, packaging, and date codes for your required quantity. Contact Pacific Component Xchange for an RFQ and let us locate authentic XL567 inventory for your build.
