The Toshiba TLP265J is a non-zero-cross phototriac coupler (photorelay) that integrates a gallium-arsenide infrared light-emitting diode optically coupled to a photo-triac detector. Housed in a compact, creepage-optimized SO6 surface-mount package, the TLP265J is designed to trigger discrete power triacs and to provide reinforced galvanic isolation between low-voltage control logic and AC mains-side loads. Its non-zero-crossing (NZC) output makes it well suited to applications that must switch at arbitrary points in the AC waveform, such as phase-control dimming and inductive-load drive.
