XD8574P – I/O Expander – Xinluda
The Xinluda XD8574P is a remote 8-bit I/O expander for the I²C-bus with interrupt output, housed in a through-hole DIP-16 package. It is pin- and function-compatible with the industry-standard PCF8574.
The Xinluda XD8574P is a remote 8-bit I/O expander that adds general-purpose parallel I/O to any microcontroller over a simple two-wire I²C-bus interface (SCL/SDA). It is the through-hole DIP-16 (300 mil) member of Xinluda’s XL8574/XD8574 family and is pin- and function-compatible with the widely used PCF8574, making it a convenient drop-in for prototyping, education, and legacy designs that still rely on DIP packaging.
The device provides eight quasi-bidirectional ports (P0–P7) that power up as inputs with a weak internal 100µA current-source pull-up. Each port can be independently used as an input to read keypads or monitor switches, or as an output with latched drive strong enough to directly drive LEDs. An active-LOW open-drain interrupt output (INT) signals the host whenever an input state changes, eliminating the need for continuous I²C polling.

Why Source XD8574P from Pacific Component Xchange
The Xinluda XD8574P is a hard-to-find part with little to no authorized-distributor stock, and through-hole DIP I/O expanders are increasingly scarce as the industry moves to surface-mount packaging. Pacific Component Xchange specializes in locating obsolete, allocated, and difficult-to-source power-management ICs and interface devices like the XD8574P. We support customers who need to keep legacy DIP-based designs and educational platforms in production without costly redesigns.
Every order is backed by our commitment to authenticity and quality, with inspection and traceability to guard against counterfeit risk, plus global shipping to wherever your line runs.
